Ronnie Walker, Facilities Manager
Ronnie provides on-site supervision for the Lakeport Plantation project. He holds an Associate of Applied Science from the Arkansas Institute for Building Preservation Trades at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas and has 20 years of experience in the building trades. Ronnie has hands-on knowledge of 19th century hand tools and expertise in historic window sash and doors. He applies his skills and knowledge of historic construction methods to ensuring that each step of the Lakeport restoration meets the highest standards.

Sonya Walker,
Administrative Assistant
Sonya
serves as office manager and curator of collections for the Lakeport
Plantation. She also is responsible for working with school

Ruth Hawkins,
Project Director
Ruth is Director of Delta Heritage Initiatives at Arkansas State University, which includes overall responsibilities for policies and programs at Lakeport Plantation, the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center at Piggott, and the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum at Tyronza. Ruth also is Executive Director of Arkansas Delta Byways, a 15-county tourism promotion association that promotes Eastern Arkansas and its two national scenic byways: Crowley's Ridge Parkway and the Arkansas Great River Road.

Paula Miles, Program Coordinator
Paula provides day-to-day administrative coordination and oversight for the Lakeport Plantation project, as well as the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum at Tyronza. She also is Executive Secretary for Arkansas Delta Byways, the 15-county tourism promotion association serving Eastern Arkansas. Her responsibilities include serving as office manager, coordinating special events, and providing staff support for ongoing activities in the Delta region and along the Crowley's Ridge Parkway and the Arkansas Great River Road national scenic byways. -
