How to get here
Lakeport Plantation is located in Chicot County, Arkansas, a few hours from Memphis, Little Rock, Jackson or New Orleans. It serves as the southern anchor for the Arkansas portion of the Great River Road, a National Scenic Byway that spans 10 states on both sides of the Mississippi River. Lakeport is convenient to the new Hwy 82 Bridge. The bridge spans the Mississippi River to connect Lake Village, Arkansas to Greenville, Mississippi and is just 2 miles from Lakeport.
Notice: Many GPS and online mapping programs (including Apple Maps) send drivers on the levee road, especially when traveling east from Greenville, MS or from Lake Chicot State Park. It is not necessary to take the levee road to get to Lakeport. From U.S. Hwy 82, take Arkansas Highway 142 for 2 miles and then take the gravel entrance Lakeport.
